Allison
is one of those people that everybody loves. Why? Because
she is a friend to everyone. I will never forget the first
time I met her. I was playing in a basketball game and
during the warm-up she struck up a conversation with me
as if we had been best friends for years. I was drawn
to her because of her confidence, sincerity, and care
about my life. I realized I wanted to get to know this
person more because she seemed so selfless. To my pleasant
surprise, just a few days later I received a personalized
card from her. It blew me away that someone would be so
thoughtful, especially someone that I had just barely
met. I had the privilege of interacting with her quite
a bit as a senior at East because she also was so supportive
and loyal. There she was cheering her friends on at basketball
games, plays, and Madrigals performances. She always had
a smile on her face and a great laugh to share. Whenever
I saw her, she made me happy. I can honestly say that
my senior year of high school was my sweetest year yet
mostly thanks to Allison Sherman. If I was having a bad
day, I could stop by her office and just hang out or look
at some awesome pictures she had taken. I always loved
getting a pink slip telling me to go to her office. She
always seemed to send a little note or flower or piece
of candy just when I needed it most. The blessing is that
my friendship with Allison didn't stop after school ended.
She was such a huge support to me while I competed for
Utah's Junior Miss that I really wanted her to be there
in Mobile, Alabama for Nationals. Not only was she there,
but she helped me out tremendously by assisting me with
my scrapbook, taking some unforgettable pictures, and
just being there for me. Even though I am now living in
Boston, I know my friendship with Allison will never die.
She is the type of person that everyone wants as a friend
and the type of person that everyone wants to be like.
She has done more for me than I could ever do for her
and I consider myself so blessed to have her as a friend.

Allison
is a tenacious and passionate person. I admire her for
her many talents and her quest to become an ever better
person. I first met Allison in our student ward and have
considered her a friend since that time. I have had the
opportunity to work with her in church callings and have
always been impressed by her diligence in fulfilling whatever
she is asked to do. I have many good memories of great
times with friends, most of which Allison is a part, always
with her camera in tow, ready to take thousands of pictures!
Sometimes she receives considerable pressure to DELETE
those pictures for fear that they will one day return
to haunt the unsuspecting victims! :) A picture of a friendly
tackle comes to mind. More important than Allison's pictures
in a group of friends is her fun-loving contribution and
her absolute loyalty. I have also had the opportunity
to spend some one-on-one time with Allison. She treated
me to my very first big-time concert - and what a great
concert it was! I love Kenny Chesney. In these opportunities
to get to know Allison on a more personal level I have
always found her to be a thoughtful, articulate, and compassionate
individual. I believe Allison's greatest strength is her
powerful testimony of the restored gospel and her love
of the Savior. She is an example of virtue and commitment
- a woman of God.

Allison
and I met while observing some mutual friends playing
Ultimate Frisbee. Almost instantly we discovered that
we shared two of our favorite movies, and the rest is
history!
We've had so much fun over the years, playing jokes on
our friends and having some nice long chats about life
in general. We're both photography nuts - though Allison
certainly takes the cake there. Allison is an incredibly
strong and determined individual. She never ceases to
amaze me with her ability to grow and change and develop
in herself the qualities she admires in others. I am so
very thankful for our friendship.

Allison
became a part of my life through default. Please don't
take that in a negative light, for my life has been blessed
to have such a devout friend be a part of it. What I mean
by default is that I was out of the country for a couple
years, serving as a missionary for my church, and while
I was gone she became friends with my family, and many
of my acquaintances. It didn't take long for us to bond
and she's been a welcome presence since that time. You
will never find a friend who is willing to give more and
put more effort into a relationship. She is better than
anyone I know at keeping in touch with those that mean
a lot to her. While most of us say "I should really
call that person", she actually picks up the phone.
Her notable talents, to me at least, include; Photography,
Laughing *wink*, trusting in the Lord through hard times,
and being a great friend to my little brother, who is
now on a mission of his own. There are more, but I'll
leave it at that. I'm grateful to have Allison as a part
of my life and wish her the best in all aspects of her
life. Thanks for the knowledge that I'll always have a
friend I can call, even if I am terrible at doing so
:o)

My
first real memory of Allison that sticks out is being
told that she wouldnt come to Relief Society because
she hated me. I, of course knew her as an acquaintance
at church before that happened, but as you can tell we
werent the best of friends. No worries Allison,
yours isnt the only friendship in the group that
began with a rocky start compare stories with Katie.
Luckily things changed and we were able to start on the
road to friendship.
I believe that the one thing that everyone
agrees on is that Allison has the biggest, kindest heart.
She would do anything for anyone and always wants to make
sure that everyone feels included and loved. The other
thing that we would all agree on is that we never have
as many memories when she is unable to attend a function.
Sometimes I think that her camera is an extension of her
hand. We all grumble about having to have pictures taken,
but we are all extremely grateful to have them when all
is said and done.
