I kept wanting to watch this show but would
forget it was on until it was too late. I finally
borrowed the dvds from my friend and was instantly
hooked. Now there is no way I miss a new episode
... you know where to find me every Thursday night!
I love the relationship between Jim & Pam
and the practical jokes between Jim & Dwight.
Bears. Beets. Battle Star Galactica.
A fly-on-the-wall "docu-reality" parody
about modern American office life, "The Office"
delves into the lives of the workers at Dunder
Mifflin paper supply company in Scranton, Pennsylvania.
PUSHING DAISIES
My friend had me watch a clip of this show online
and so I went home and decided to watch one of the episodes
on the ABC website. Let's just say I stayed up and watched
two more episodes. I am now completely addicted! I bought
the 1st season on dvd and have watched the entire season.
Bring on season 2!
As a young boy Ned discovers that he can return the
dead briefly to life with just one touch. But his random
gift isn't without deadly consequences as he soon finds
out. He discovers the rules of his gift early: First
touch - alive; second touch - dead again, forever; Keep
something alive for more than a minute and something
else has to die in its place.
Grown up Ned puts his talent to good use by touching
dead fruit and making it ripe with everlasting flavor.
He opens a pie shop. But his life as a pie maker gets
more complicated when private investigator Emerson
Cod discovers Ned's secret. Emerson convinces the
cash-strapped Ned to help him solve murder cases (and
collect a hefty reward fee) by raising the dead and
getting them to name their killers.
Then Ned is handed the case that changes his life
forever. His childhood sweetheart, Charlotte "Chuck"
Charles, is murdered on a cruise ship under strange
circumstances. Her death brings him back to his hometown
of Coeur d' Coeur to bring Chuck back to life, albeit
briefly, and to solve the crime. But once reunited
with Chuck, Ned can't bring himself to touch her again.
Chuck becomes the third partner in Ned and Emerson's
PI enterprise, but she encourages them to use their
skills for good, not just for profit. Ned is overjoyed
to be reunited with Chuck, the only girl he's ever
loved. Life would be perfect, except for one cruel
twist: If Ned ever touches her again, she'll go back
to being dead, this time for good.
GILMORE GIRLS
Even though it is not on the air anymore,
Gilmore Girls is my girlie escape. I have all
of the dvds and love to watch it anytime I want
some witty banter and the sarcastic humor.
Set in a storybook Connecticut town populated
with an eclectic mix of everyday folks and lovable
lunatics, Gilmore Girls is a humorous multigenerational
series about friendship, family and the ties that
bind. Thirtysomething Lorelai Gilmore (Lauren
Graham) has made her share of mistakes in life,
but she has been doing her best to see that her
college-bound daughter - and best friend in the
world - Rory (Alexis Bledel), doesn't follow in
her footsteps. That may be easier said than done,
considering that the two share the same interests,
the same intellect, the same coffee addiction
and the same eyes. Rory is more serious than Lorelai,
but there are tendencies, especially in the love
department, that clearly indicate she is her mother's
daughter. From the beginning, this unique mother-daughter
team has been growing up together. Lorelai was
just Rory's age when she became pregnant and made
the tough decision to raise her baby alone.
