02.26.04-Been thinking a lot lately. Do you know what that can do to a girls brain?

My friend Katie and I went quiz crazy this morning! So I have added a BUNCH of new ones to my quiz page!

02.25.04-Remember yesterday how I said I was feeling better? Well I lied - today I feel so yucky! I barely got any sleep last night. I kept shivering and felt so cold - and I had an electric blanket and a heater going. Plus our furnace is working again, so it just didn't make any sense. I kept waking up all night so cold! This morning I am exhausted!

Last night was spent with my friends Ben & Phil and their family. Ben was trying to make a cd to listen to when falling asleep. Phil & I were helping - or should I say distracting him! We also made Mt Dew slushies. I ended up drinking 36 ozs of Dew last night - maybe that is part of the problem with my sleep last night! I have been on such a Mt. Dew kick this past week.

02.24.04-Had lunch with my best friend Emily, her mom, and my mom. Her little girl Megan is getting huge! They get so big so fast and do some of the cutest things. Last night our stake fhe was Laughing Stock - I haven't laughed that hard in a long time! It was hilarious.

Today I had the opportunity to travel all over the state from Salt Lake to Ogden back to Salt Lake and out to Tooele and back and then some. It was crazy! It was nice to be out of the office though - especially after being stuck in the copy room all day yesterday for 6 hours!

P.S. I am feeling better - thank you!

02.23.04-I had a fun weekend, except for the fact that I have had a huge headache and now I have a double ear infection. The combination hasn't been fun. And mom has had the flu for the past two days. I feel so bad for her because she has been so miserable.

This weekend was fun - I was able to get my hair cut and colored and it looks fab! I was at the point where I was starting to really hate my hair.

Added a new picture from the dance that Brother Mays at the institute took. Go here to see. I really like this one because Ben actually has a normal smile on his face!

Did the Friday Five:

When was the last time you...

1. ...went to the doctor? in October when I pulled the tendon in my foot

2. ...went to the dentist? I am not sure - I have actually been thinking that I need to do this

3. ...filled your gas tank? filled it was my last payday about a week ago, but I did put gas in it this morning.

4. ...got enough sleep? lol - not going to even try to remember

5. ...backed up your computer? I try to keep backups on zip disks, but it has been a while since I have done the actual computer

02.19.04-I told you it wouldn't last long - it was totally bugging me - so I have been working really hard to get a new one together for you - here you go! Thanks to Kate & Heidi for all their input!

A Bunch of new stuff on the site! First go check out my quiz results! There is a new page to the site called What's In A Name? which has the meaning of my name and other interesting tidbits of info. Also added a new thing called featured pic! It is at the bottom of the page. Go check it out!

Also added a new film to the Fab Film Lines Section for Win A Date With Tad Hamilton!

02.17.04-I have somewhat updated the layout - same set up (kinda) but new colors and pictures and lyrics. Not sure how much I like - so we shall see how long it lasts!

What a weekend it was! First off Friday was one full of memories! Peter Breinholt's talk & performance was amazing! He is awesome!

The dance was definitely held on Friday the 13th! It was hilarious! The person doing Lacey's hair couldn't get off work on time, so we ended up running an hour late, dinner ended up burning (the rolls were so black they looked like lava rocks!) so we ended up ordering pizza, and the coursages fell apart. The entire thing was a riot! To see pictures go here.

Saturday night Sarah J and I held a party at her house. We had a great turn out and ended up playing Catch Phrase, Trivia Pursuit, & Scattegories. Did you know that the official length of the track for maggot racing is one foot? The real question should be - Did you want to know?

I am so tired now that I am back at work - being an emotional past two days .... why do I let my emotions get the best of me? It makes me so mad at myself and makes me feel for the people I call my friends!

Added pics from Christmas Adam.

02.13.04-First off - HAPPY VALENTINES DAY! I know it is a day early, but I doubt I will get on here tomorrow!

Next I have added a bunch of new stuff to the funny section. Go check them out! (they are the last five at the bottom!)

Today I have Friday Forum (speaker is Peter Breinholt- yipee!) and tonight is the Valentine's Dance at the Institute!

02.12.04-OH MY HECK! I just got an email from the International Library of Photography and they have informed me that I am nominated for Photographer of the Year for 2004.

They have also invited me to the International Society of Photographers 2004 Convention and Symposium where they are going to be awarding the award plus their are workshops and much more going on. There is no way I can afford to go - but wow! Just to be nominated and invited is pretty cool. I am sooooooooooo excited!

If you want to see the photograph that I submitted go here!

02.11.04-I have been on the email bandwagon as of late - so if you want to kill me for all the crazy emails I have passed your way - sorry! But you should take my quiz - I think they are so fun!

I am starting to think I actually like the color pink! I mean seriously I use it on this layout, notice it everywhere I go, use it as my font color on my chat program, etc. I can't believe it - it is so girly! I mean I am a girl and all - but never been a girly girl! Don't worry about pink ever becoming my favorite color though - it would take much more to push out orange!

Added Heidi's page to the friends section. Also added a few more fill in the blanks.

02.10.04-Redid the layout for Valentine's Day. Thought these pics of Renee Zellweger & Ewan McGregor were cute.

I have been talking with some friends about dances and dance pictures and decided to scan all of mine and add them to the site. Some are hilarious. Go here to see!

Also updated the Who Is Ali section of the site.

So yesterday I slipped on some ice in my drive way and totally biffed it! I am so sore all over my body! Other than that my life is pretty good right now. I am totally looking forward to Friday - Peter Breinholt is the Friday Forum speaker and it is going to be awesome!

I did last week's Friday Five:

February 6, 2004

1. What's the most daring thing you've ever done? honestly - nothing too exciting - I did go bungee jumping once

2. What one thing would you like to try that your mother/friend/significant other would never approve of? skinny dipping! shhh! don't tell!

3. On a scale of 1-10, what's your risk factor? (1=never take risks, 10=it's a lifestyle) probably a 2

4. What's the best thing that's ever happened to you as a result of being bold/risky? feeling of freedom

5. ... and what's the worst? not sure - I am pretty risk free

02.05.04-Do you ever feel like you are stuck? I mean that there is a situation going on around you, but there really isn't anything you can do about it, you want to help, but you can't, so you just sit there and pray?

Maybe this is just me - but I have learned that I care too deeply sometimes and it makes me wonder if I have any right to do so. I am one of those people who wears their heart on their sleeve and I care too much.

02.04.04-Today is a day full of thought and feelings of gratitude. I am greatful for life, for love, for friendship, and for the knowledge I have of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

I have added a new thought to the site that has been running through my mind ... The Piano.

Last night I hung out with my girlfriends Katie, Crystal, & Heidi. We ended up getting James, Matt, & Jake (Matt & Jake are new in our ward) to come with us to Dee's and got some cheese fries! Yummy! Love cheese fries!

02.03.04-Man am I sore! I tell you that game shouldn't be called "Do You Love Your Neighbor?" It should be called how badly can you hurt your neighbor! I have quite a few bruises - but oh how fun it was!

Added a few more pics. One of me with Derek and one of me with Phil.

02.02.04-Happy Groundhog's Day!

Added a bunch of new pictures from the past few days:

I have also been working on my friend section of the site. I redid the layout and have been adding to the paragraphs and things.

I did the Friday Five:

January 30, 2004

You have just won one million dollars:

1. Who do you call first? my mom

2. What is the first thing you buy for yourself? I would pay off my bills

3. What is the first thing you buy for someone else? I would pay off my mom's house

4. Do you give any away? If yes, to whom? Not sure - probably donate some to the church for the missionary program

5. Do you invest any? If so, how? I don't know much about investments, so I would have to research and then decide.

So if any one has an extra million dollars lying around feel free to donate!

01.27.04-Had a long talk with my friend Katie today and did a lot of thinking ... actually I am still thinking. Who is the real Allison? Does anyone know? Do I even know? I need to figure it out.

01.26.04-Had a good weekend. Spent Saturday evening with some friends. We went down to Thanksgiving Point and saw Ghosts of the Abyss which is a 3D documentary type show about a dive that James Cameron & Bill Paxton did to the ruins of the Titanic. It was pretty cool - especially since I have never seen a 3D show before. Afterwards we went back to Derek's and had homemade ice cream and then we watched The Italian Job. That was a fab movie and am so glad I finally had the chance to see it.

Did the Friday Five:

January 23, 2004

At this moment, what is your favorite...

1. ...song? My Immortal by Evanescence

2. ...food? Oriental Chicken Salad

3. ...tv show? Alias

4. ...scent? Lavendar

5. ...quote? "They say a person needs just three things to be truly happy in this world. Someone to love, something to do, and something to hope for."

01.20.04-I almost forgot to do last week's Friday Five...here goes:

January 16, 2004

1. What does it say in the signature line of your emails? "There's some good in this world ... and it's worth fighting for."

2. Did you have a senior quote in your high school yearbook? What was it? If you haven't graduated yet, what would you like your quote to be? I did but I can't remember off the top of my head right now. They called them Senior Summaries. Will have to go look.

3. If you had vanity plates on your car, what would they read? If you already have them, what do they say? I think they would probably say either Tank or Sherm ... ooh or Murphy after my car ... not really sure

4. Have you received any gifts with messages engraved upon them? What did the inscription say? nope unless you consider my id bracelet and it just had my name Allison on it

5. What would you like your epitaph to be? She laughed, cried, smiled, loved, and lived.

I like the one my friend Katie sent from Harry S. Truman's: "He did his damnedest."

Unfortunately things went down hill a bit yesterday and today. But I am determined to get back on track. I started to really get hard on myself....gotta be a bit more patient with myself. I decided today ...I deserve to be happy dang it! And happy I will be!

This weekend I moved all of my bedroom and stuff upstairs. So now I have a bedroom and a tv watching room. I call the tv room the retro patchwork room. The walls are yellow, the couch is orange, the chair is burgandy, the sheleves and cabinet are purple. Very interesting indeed! I have a Star Wars episode 2 & a Smallville poster on the wall. Gotta get an Alias one. Great stuff.

01.15.04-I think I have finally found the happy medium that I have been searching for in my life. I just had to discover where it was inside of myself.

I have been the happiest I have been in a long time this past week. Monday night I taught FHE and it went so well! I went in so nervous, but we had such a great turn out and everyone participated and it was great!

I spent Tuesday night with my friends the Barkers and spent all day yesterday home sick. I am feeling mostly better.

01.12.04-Can my life get any more messed up???? I mean seriously! I would like a day to go by with out any confusing, anger, crying, etc... and it just doesn't seem possible. I know that sometimes it is my fault, but not always.

One thing I have realized that when things happen, like right now they are happening I go in to a serious rut and totally put myself down, I have to learn to do better about that. I need to learn to better control my emotions and not let them errupt like a volcano. I have so much to work on.

The thing that is the hardest is that people don't seem to mind pointing out my faults to me and asking me to change, but noone is ever willing to stick around so I can change. So I have recently been fixing the things that I have wanted to change, but no one, including myself ends up content.

01.09.04-Finally got to see LOTR- Return of the King last night. Normally those kinds of films (war) aren't my kind but I love all the other stuff that goes on in the film. The relationship between Frodo & Sam, and the battle of good vs. evil. It was awesome and is definitely my favorite of the three. Afterwards we went over to Travis & Shiloh's to watch a movie and hang out with out friends. We watched the Bourne Identity.

01.08.04-Made some slight changes to the layout to more fit in with things I needed featured on the site. I also added 5 things to be grateful for under my basic info section.

Last night we had a girls night at Kierstyn's apartment with Kierstyn, Lacey, Ana, & I. I had fun, until I let my emotions get the best of me. I feel like I have been letting that happen more and more lately and this time I just let them go. I cried and let out all of my anger and feelings. I hated to do it, but like Kierstyn says sometimes you have to let the things close to the surface out. Kierstyn said some other things that I really needed to hear, and I think it is finally time when I am ready to listen and so hopefully I can make the necessary changes that I need to in order to be happy permenantly.

01.07.04-I totally redid the layout ... please let me know what you think!

Well I have finally aired out from FHE (thanks Matt!) as many of you will be glad to know!

01.05.04-Happy New Year! I added pics from Family Home Evening on December 29th and from New Years Eve!

It has been an interesting weekend to say the least. Saturday I spent the day sorting out and cleaning out my things to get ready to move at the end of the month. I hope everything works out there. Sunday was church and my friend Katie came over for dinner. Then on to ward prayer.

Thursday we are going to go see Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King. I am actually excited about seeing it this time.

Today has been a doozy of a day already and it is only 10 am. There is an employee at my work that has been caught in the past copying time sheets and looking at people's pay stubs. Including mine. Nothing has been done, but she admitted to me last Friday that she had looked at someone's time sheet and so I reported it. Things are a little messy now. At first I was wondering if I did the right thing, but this kind of thing shouldn't be happening. So I can feel good about my decision.

Also updated the Friday Five!

January 2 , 2004

What one thing are you most looking forward to . . .

1. ...today? Being off of work!

2. ...over the next week? Going to see Lord of the Rings!
