AKA:
Yello, Bunjun, Hot Avocado
Birthday: November 29
I first met Ben at a New Years Eve party. He was extremely
quiet and I wasn't entirely sure what to think of him.
Our friendship first started some months later when
he and his brother spoke with me on the stairs behind
the institute one night during ward prayer. There was
a connection then and we have been friends ever since.
Ben has a fabulous sarcastic sense of humor. Whenever
I am with him I find myself laughing (especially at
myself, since he finds great joy in making fun of me!).
We share a love of photography, which has found us up
canyons, downtown at Temple Square and other various
locations through out the valley. One time we went to
the rail yard to take pictures of the trains and were
almost arrested. We laughed pretty hard over that one.
We have shared our love of music with each other and
Ben has introduced me to some of my favorite bands including
Counting Crows and Dashboard Confessional. (Plus he
does a mean Bono impression while trying to get a particular
stupid song stuck in my head!) We share a love of the
Tracy's Peanut Butter Cup Sundae at Leatherby's and
of Lumberjack Sandwiches.
My
friendship with Ben has taught me a lot about compromising
and exploring all that the world has to offer. It was
with Ben that I finally was able to see the Phantom
of the Opera for the first time. I could not imagine
having shared that experience with anyone else. He even
humored me and wore the pink tie that I bought him!
We had a huge water fight through out his house and
almost ruined his brother's missionary picture that
was hanging on the hall wall.
He has the worst memory, but he always remembers the
things that truly count. He has a hard time expressing
his feelings but when he does I am grateful because
I know that they are sincere. I consider Ben one of
my best friends and I couldn't imagine the world without
him.
