I love Stephanie! I first met Stephanie when I was
working at East High School where she was a senior.
Stephanie was involved in the Women's Basketball Team
and I used to go to all of their games. I started
talking to Stephanie after the games and during the
games I sat by her mom, Sally. Through this association
we built a great friendship. I started to attend all
of Stephanie's various events that she was involved
with from the Utah's Junior Miss program to the Sterling
Scholar Awards to A'Cappella and Madrigal performances.
At the end of the school year I helped Stephanie with
her scrapbook for America's Junior Miss and then traveled
with her family to Mobile, Alabama for the competition.
The rest is basically history as now it feels as if
we have known each other forever.
Stephanie is truly one of my heroes. I am constantly
amazed at her dedication to whatever she decides to
do. She not only excels at the things she does but
also does them with grace and integrity. She is a
great example of Christ-like attitudes as she is genuinely
kind and lives her life in a way that the Spirit is
constantly with her. She is a gracious individual
who takes the time to let others know how they have
touched her life. I call Stephanie my personal cheerleader
because every time I talk to her I leave the interaction
feeling better about myself and feel as if I can do
anything.
One
of my favorite memories with Stephanie was during
our vacation to New York City where she was performing
at Carnegie Hall with her mom and her sister Lindsey
we shared a room. We stayed up way too late on Sunday
night talking about life and various topics. We laughed
and got a little loud and next thing we knew there
was a knock on the door and a voice saying, "Hotel
Guest Services." We looked at each other and
then I went to answer the door feeling a bit sheepish.
It ended up being her brothers Eric & Sam teasing
us about how loud we were being.
Stephanie is truly one of the most fabulous people
I have ever been blessed to be associated with.
